I won but did not gain rating, nor did the usual +0 message pop up next to my rating. I noticed my opponent got flagged, but usually you still gain points for winning like that. Help would be appreciated!
Your opponent did not resign, but he got banned during the game.

I know, but I'm pretty sure you gain rating from that? If someone gets cheat detected during a game they lose and the winner gains points.
That's exactly the opposite.

no, you never do.
"Cheat detected" --> you win, but the other account is not flagged unless it's repeated offense.
This situation --> opponent is banned, game is aborted, in fact noone wins.
