The training puzzles here are fantastic. However, they could be improved by giving users an option to customize the filter used to select training puzzles.
For instance, it may be beneficial to occasionally choose to play puzzles derived from normal (not rapid) time controls, played by players above a certain rank. The result would be practice of realistic positions, that one is likely to actually encounter, by selecting one's playing style.
It would also be nice to be able to select the type of puzzle, or have check-boxes to include/exclude puzzle types in the filter.
There is something to be gained by playing random puzzles, but focused study is a more effective tool for improving upon weaknesses.
