What openings do you currently play?

I play the Caro-Kahn and the slav with black. And will generally play 1.D4 followed by 2.C4. I am not too focused on my openings now but will start focusing more and more on it as my rating increases.

Time consuming but that is bout the bottom line with opening study.

As for actually learning the Opening having a book or course is great. I have Chessable Courses on all the openings I play. Every game I look at what is recommended on the courses and where I deviated…

I play the Caro-Kahn myself and it can be dull at times. (I am more of a positional player.) But then again all reasonable openings have at least one very dull line. BTW doesn't Alireza Firouzja play …

How much time do you have? The Sicilian isn't a great opening for limited time. But if you have the time it is an extremely fun opening for the attacking player.
