To get off to an earlier start this year, registration for the Crazyhouse World Championship 2021 is now open early in January!
Last year, registration only opened on 15th February and closed 15th March.
This year, registration is opening 4th January and closing 15th February, so we can get a month ahead in terms of scheduling, while also holding the registration period open for longer to allow newcomers the opportunity to join.
The documentation within the Crazyhouse World Championship forums for 2020 will apply as a starting basis for 2021 as well. In the interest of continuous improvement, we may add further conditions which make sense for players and tournament progression.
Key points:
- Same guaranteed USD $2,000 prize pool
- Same time control of 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per move
- Same tournament format as CWC 2020 including qualification round, double elimination knockout stage, round robin between 12 candidates and the grand final
