Player aborting when gets "wrong" colour

I have noticed some of my opponents abort almost immediately after accepting my open challenge with random colour. I checked one such opponent and noticed he/she/it aborts other games too when getting black colour.

Isn't this deliberately trying to improve the rating?

I checked the players stats, no disconnections. Are aborted games counted? I would prefer not to play players who abort too often.
Abortion is a sin my friend. If they do it a lot, then you can report them to the moderators via button upper right button in their profile page.
if they don't want to play you then there is nothing wrong. it is up to the individual to decide if he or she wants to play you. this is online chess not otb tournament.
Thanks. It's not easy to say if they do it a lot if aborted games are not saved or counted anywhere and you don't play them often. One shouldn't be expected to go through their games with other players. And even that is difficult because the advanced search doesn't work. I can only download other games individually from the profile page.
Could be because the person wants to work on a color not because that person wants to win.

They want to play me. I happen to know that from the fact that they accepted my challenge. They just don't want to play if they get black and are afraid of losing their rating because of that. If I didn't say that clearly enough, I think it is cheating.

In that case he/she/it would accept challenges with right colour, so your explanation seems not quite correct.
Playing white gives you a big advantage. In a previous account, I rarely lost my white games and often lost my black games. I've experienced these frequent aborts as well. Its a common way to pick a color that suits you and have a better chance of winning. The devs should consider introducing an abort limit. Abort too frequently, and you can't abort for some fixed amount of time. Hopefully shouldn't be too hard to code.
The player you mentioned playes with both colours, I just checked the games, so your claim is incorrect. Sometimes cancels blacks. If this can be done, I guess it is not considered cheating. Or maybe the opponents just didn't report him/her/it yet? It would be nice to know if it is ok to do it, from someone who has the authority and knows. Otherwise I'll report my opponent.
