Denouncing French Federation Partnership

Government is cracking down on crypto because some cryptocurrencies like Monero are privacy-friendly, so government cracks down on it so their citizens wouldn't have any privacy with transactions, surveillance made easier. This web3goinggreat website, that linked in the article, doesn't distinguish shitcoins and actual useful cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Monero

I don't know anything on immortalgame, is it scammy or not, but it is important to understand that some cryptocurrencies are friends to freedom, not a threat.
> Nous sommes convaincus que les joueurs méritent mieux. Nous nous étonnons également de ne pas avoir été contacté malgré de précédentes collaborations et questionnons l’opacité entourant cette désignation.

Coulisses du pouvoir? Steam coming out of mind's eyes ears....
I'm already waiting for the statement on Hamas terrorism and the charity tournament for Israel

Cryptocurrency being an absolute shitshow from every possible angle is not a political statement. It is an objective truth. And it is there for anyone without a financial interest in denying it to discover.
Seems impossible to find opponents on that thing for the time being. Right after the announcement was posted, there were a few people on it seems.

Bold statement for someone that doesn't contribute financially to this website.

Lichess is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide chess for free for the masses. At the core this is quite a leftwing concept. It is expected that this being said Lichess will play an active role in promoting this principle.

If you're not ok with this, you can always go play in a website that is aligned with your worldviews. There are plenty of websites that will provide a similar experience, you might need to spend some money to have all the features that you currently enjoy for free here though
The situation may be as simple as this - govt will derive a revenue stream (taxation) from a payed membership operation ...

Privacy-friendly? They are almost the exact opposite; if someone tracks a wallet, they have access to all your transactions. What are you smoking?
If I had to guess why you guys were passed over it's probably because you have a history of being politically-motivated ideologues who will promote or retract your support for organizations based on whatever cultural issue is prominent this week instead of doing your jobs and promoting chess for everybody.
