How to make chess exciting to audience?

Is there a way to make chess interesting or exciting for people in general?, would chess be in tv?
try..... naked chess.... that should do the job!lol ( but in second thoughts Kasparov... naked... that will destroy chess )
There's no way. Chess is boring to most people. Even chess players find it boring as was evident during the last WCC.
Take a look how they do it in the esports scene.

Like League of legends, dota or starcraft for example.
League of Legends, Dota or Starcraft has a lot of action almost every second/minute. In chess, it takes minutes to make a move and most people can't catch up with the thinking that went behind a move fast enough.
Norway has started televising big chess tournament. They approach chess the same way they would Tour de France. It has been an immense success with over 900 000 (Norway has a population of about 5 million) watching the last day of the wch.
In all seriousness... What chess needs is a charismatic AND controversial (a la Fischer 1972) WC.
Once we have that, I think the average person would watch blitz on tv.
Either that or add an extra piece on the board called the Wizard and depending if you put his hat on or off, he either moves like a bishop and knight or a knight and rook.
