You could make the chess captcha a lot harder. Perhaps being forced to think harder would encourage people to think more about their comments.

being a new player at lichess, i would like to ask a managers of this site to save a forum. it could be a great place to discuss chess news, problems and interesting games. now lichess is one of the greatest places to play, and i am sure that it will be a great place to talk too. maybe we need some specific forums: about chess tournaments, leading players, it could also be certain forums for not english-speaking countries. for example, i see here a lot of players from Russia, maybe some of them (including me) will be interested to discuss something in russian. or we could write some manual for newbies about playing here e.t.c. there is always a lot of ideas, and without this forum it will be difficult to discuss them. p.s. thanks a lot for this great chess site!

I think that mods and admins should focus attention on preventing cheaters to cheat, the main reason why anyone who has 1700 and above can't play games longer than 2+0 is 'cuz the cheaters are everywhere
and not closing the forum because trolling, that is just radical answer to close the forum, in my opinion

I`d say place the same restrictions in the forum as in the chat except anons can read the forums too.
and maybe raise the amount of games to be played to activate both if you feel like it.

Anything above 1+1 I suspect of cheating and on this site its such a small pool of people you dont have many opponents. You can either play the same 5 people or play people with fast internet and lose all the time or play laggers and win all the time. So I agree #27, the focus should be cheaters.

I mostly stopped caring about moderating the forums for a while...

I think they should stay...i'll just have to spend more time here too.
